See Clearly

See ClearlyI finally got new glasses. OK, I didn’t. I went to the eye doctor, had a checkup, got a prescription, and ordered my glasses. (Hallelujah, I only need reading glasses!) They are ready and I just need to pick them up. So I don’t actually have them yet, but I will soon. Honest. It’s become a matter of productivity. I need to see better to do my best work.

When deciding what about all the eyeglass options, there were all sorts of options to consider. One of the newer ones (at least new to me, considering my penchant to avoid eye doctors) is oleophobic coating.

This is an anti-reflective coating that not only reduces reflections while driving or from overhead lights, but it makes your glasses less reflective and geeky looking in photographs. My brother always takes off his glasses for photos, which drives me nuts since he always wears glasses. It always looks like some foreigner slipped into our family pictures because he doesn’t look like himself. Maybe I can convince him to get these!

Perhaps even better is the tact that these lenses repel fingerprints, dust, oil, and even water! As a child, the single most annoying thing about glasses (besides having to wear them and not being able to wear them while swimming) was that they were always getting dirty at the most inconvenient times — meaning the times I was least able to clean them. I would have loved to have this “feature” on my glasses.

If you need glasses and want to see more clearly, look into this new generation of AR coating. Order from Zenni and get great prices and free shipping on orders over $50.

Thanks a lot for useful information. I think that all all active computers users have some problems with eyes, and need glasses to protect them

Why Anti-reflective coating that not only reduces reflections while driving or from overhead lights?

Wow this is a great feature on glasses. I like the fact that they are replant to dust and to fingerprints because most people have to take off their glasses to clean them several times in a day. This will save them the time and inconveniences caused by this.

I have been thinking of changing my old reading glasses for long. This anti-reflective feature seems to be a very useful one, will definitely buy pair of glasses having this in this. It will surely help in keeping my glasses dust free and provide crystal clear vision.
